About Us

I began my photography career while serving in the U.S. Navy in Adak, Alaska in 1988. I studied photography at the University of Alaska with the famous wildlife photographer Lon Lauber. This is where and when I developed my passion for landscape and nature photography. While in Adak, I published several Alaskan landscape images and began to expand my interests.

In 1991, while at sea on the USS Ticonderoga, I was the ship’s photographer. During this time I developed experience in shooting official U.S. Navy photography including missile shoots, gunfire, ceremonies, cruise books, and crime scenes.

A few of my most memorable achievements occurred in 2000, when I photographed the President of the United States of America, First Lady, and other dignitaries, on board the USS HUE CITY in New York Harbor, in front of the Twin Towers, not knowing the Towers would fade into history only a year later.

I finished 20 years in the U.S. Navy with a portfolio of images from around the world including Europe, the Middle East, Central and South American and the Caribbean.

Welcoming my son in 2005 revived my interest in photography by focusing on the things closest to me, my family as well as personal interest such as wine, classic cars, nature, and the human form.

Today, as a retired U.S. Navy officer, I can’t wait to take my next picture. My portfolio continues to expand daily in Key West, Florida, Baltimore, Maryland and anywhere I roam.
